Alex LeBon is featured in Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Article

One of Archisand Professional Sand Sculptors is making waves in another way.

now attending Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute was recently featured in an on campus news article.

It’s not everyday that one of the Rensselaer students can claim to be a professional sand sculptor… Alex sure can.

When not studying hard as a physics major Alex can be found on the beaches of California Leading corporate team building workshops.

Alex has been part of two US Open Sand Castle championship teams.

His NASA Space man sand castle carving at the 2011 event in Imperial Beach has become legendary.

LA Kings Logo & Players Custom Sand Sculpture at LA Live May 12th & 13th

Archisand Professional Sand Sculptors will be building a 25 ton sand sculpture at LA Live near the Staples Center this weekend.

Starting Saturday morning, May 12th, the Los Angeles Kings hockey team including logo, carvings of player’s jerseys with names and numbers around the Stanley Cup. We will also carve goalie, Jonathan Quick… in sand! 

He has played so well so far in the playoffs. We’re excited to be a part of this.

Archisand in Christchurch, New Zealand Sand Castle

Archisand Professional Sand Sculptors recently returned from a great trip to Christchurch, New Zealand.
Archisand Helped with the launch of the first Annual New Zealand Sandcastle Competition.
A quote from Gail Sheriff, New Zealand Sand Castle Competition committee member:

“Well hopefully you are all home safe and well and your journey home was not too taxing. New Zealand Sand Castle Photos from Archisand

We had such an amazing time creating the New Zealand Sand Castle Competition logo in sand! The competition is this Saturday and everyone will be welcomed by this sand sculpture by Team Archisand. Please check out the photos and stay tuned for more competition info this weekend as we scuplt our amazing dragon in sand!

Archisand Participating in the Dana Point Festival of Whales in March 2012

Archisand is making our first appearance at the Dana Point Festival of Whales!

The Dana Point Festival of Whales draws over 100,000 visitors in the first two weeks of March every year. And we are excited to join in! Please read on for the press info from the Dana Point Festival of Whales:

Festival of the Whales Baby Beach Sand Sculpting Competition  8:00 am to 2:30 pm. New this year to the Whale Festival! Archisand Professional Sand Sculptors, Inc will be conducting sand castle workshops to share their tips and tricks to making amazing sand sculptures. Archisand will show you the tools needed and how to use them to make real professional sand sculptures. Archisand is 7 time U.S. Open Sand Castle Competition champions. Their work is truly amazing!

Sculpting creation areas limited to 20 plots of 15’ x 15’ ea – First come first serve!  Choose one of five categories:  Castles, Whales and Ocean Creatures, Pirates and Ships, Woodies and Surfboards, or Patriotic Emblems.  Contestants start at 8 am, Judging begins at 2:30 with awards to follow.  Bring your own buckets and tools, dyes and stabilizers not allowed – all natural.  Sand provided free!  Bring a team of family and friends and join the fun!

Archisand will also be creating an amazing center piece sand sculpture at Baby Beach, the design of which will feature Whales and the event logo. Sand Castle building Workshops will take place on Saturday at 11 am and 1:30 pm.   Come see the creation of the Life size whales in sand on Saturday March 3rd and Sunday March 4th all day long.
