Archisand to compete in New US Sand Sculpting Challange event

Archisand will be competing against their arch rival again at the new United States Sand Sculpting Challenge event at the B St Pier in San Diego.
Come see us compete in a world class event where the best sand sculptors in the world will be amazing the city of San Diego with their art.
Friday August 31st to Monday September 3rd.
Archisand and IB Posse have competed against each other for many years at the US Open Sand Castle Competition in Imperial Beach, CA, in fact they have taken 9 out of the last 10 first place awards there. The US Open at Imperial Beach has been canceled for this year. So this will the be the event to come see in it’s place. 10 Masters sculptors from all over the world will be competing in a head to head masters solo event. These guys are amazing!

 A must see!

The B St Pier is convenient to most of San Diego and is located next the the Midway Aircraft Carrier exhibit. Come see the tall ships all weekend from the pier as the masters work hard on their sculptures. Other 3D art will also be on display during the event.

Archisand to Travel to Christ Church NZ – Sandcastle Competition

Archisand is in major prep mode in advance of the Inaugral New Zealand Sandcastle competiton in Christchurch NZ.

Here is the information you need to know for the Christchurch Event:

Archisand will travel to Christchurch NZ to compete in their first Annual competition. This is an open to the public event. Come visit the way cool sand sculptures that will adorn the beach at New Brighton Beach. Archisand was awarded this trip as a result of finishing in the top two places at the US Open Sandcastle Competition in 2010.

Archisand will build the event Logo in sand on Friday January 20th2012.
Saturday January 21st is the Professional contest day. Contestants have a 6 meter sq plot to build their sculptures in. They have 6 hours to finish, and have  up to 6 team members.
Sunday January 22nd is the Open amature competition. Archisand team mates Greg LeBon and Ko Tanaka will be assisting by judging this event.
Christchurch NZ New Brighton Beach has been recovering from major earthquakes  since March 2011. The event was postponed from March 2011 to January 2012 as a result of the major earthquake.To this day the region is getting major aftershocks.

We are now working on our design. A hint on some of the ideas…

More Than 10,000 People Visited our Sandcastle of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Opera House and Manly Ferry at the US Open of Surfing

Our entry into the US Open Sandcastle Competition promoting tourism to New South Wales Australia was recently featured on the eTravel Blackboard blog.

Destination NSW Executive Director – Tourism, Lyndel Gray said the promotion proved a huge success with more than 10,000 people visiting the ‘Sydney Surf Shack’ and sandcastle of the Harbour Bridge, Opera House and Manly Ferry over the week-long festival.

We are honored that our work was enjoyed by so many people and has had this International recognition.

Monarch Bay Club Has Archisand host Sand Castle Contest

Monarch Bay Club asked Archisand to host a Fathers Day Sand Castle building contest.
The father and son team of Greg LeBon and Alex LeBon constructed a way cool logo sand sculpture and put on an informitive workshop and sand castle contest. The Monarch Bay Club is part of the St Regis Resort and is located in Laguna Niguel, California and is a private beach club.
